Contracts are typically for 4 hours work per week during term time. Rates of pay are approximately $21-$29 per hour, depending on level of qualification and experience. Up to 8% allowance will be paid for unused annual leave. There will be an initial training session in Week 1 of each trimester for which appointees are paid.
We generally employ people who are current senior students - Honours, Masters, PhD or senior undergraduates with good passes in appropriate 200-level courses. Other criteria used in selection are reliability and good communication skills.
You will be contacted by email approximately one month before the start of the trimester if we are able to offer you a position. Contracts are issued separately for each trimester but we typically employ sessional assistants in both trimesters if they are available and would like to.
