Prescription: Distribution and sampling theory; statistical inference; linear statistical models, including simple design of experiments.
Description: Topics will be chosen from: distribution theory; estimation including minimum variance unbiased estimators and notion of sufficiency; hypothesis testing; theory of the multivariate normal distribution; linear statistical models: theory and applications, including multiple regression techniques and the design and analysis of simple experiments. The statistical packages R or S-Plus will be used.
