Description: An advanced course in the mathematical and statistical techniques for analysis of warranty, warranty cost models and some engineering aspects of warranty. Topics covered include: basic concepts and ideas in warranty analysis; types of warranty policies; and an overview of renewal theory and its application in warranty analysis. The course involves a number of small guided research projects. It is desirable that students enrolling in this course have some programming experience.
