Victoria University of Wellington is excited to bring back the MATHS Challenge for 2025!

MATHS Challenge brings together students from all around Wellington to compete in a range of mathematical challenges. It is a FREE fun filled day at our Kelburn Campus.

This event is open to students from Years 9 to 13. Entries are limited to a maximum of 2 teams per school (one junior and one senior team) , plus a teacher or adult helper. Each team can have up to 4 students. Junior teams may consist of students from Years 9 and 10, while senior teams may include students from Years 11 to 13.

Registrations close on Friday, 13 June 2025.

Date: Monday, 16 June 2025

Meeting Time: 10.00 am

Meeting Location: The Hub, Kelburn Campus, Victoria University of Wellington (See our campus map here.)

Morning tea will be provided on the day. Students should bring pens, pencils, working paper, lunch, and a drink bottle. The challenge is 3-3.5 hours long.
